Chinese Language Week in New Zealand 7-13 September

This week is the first ever Chinese Language Week in New Zealand.

We have found out that China is our most important trading partner, and most of our international students come from China. The Chinese are also New Zealand's  second-largest tourist group.

Not many of us though can even say a basic greeting in Mandarin. This week Room 22 has started to learn some simple Chinese....

Ni Hao Hello

Zai Jian Goodbye
Xie Xie Thankyou
Hao Yes
Bu No

Yǒu yīgè xìngfú de yīzhōu
Have a happy week
